London Fashion Week.

London fashion week has ended and the editors have already moved on to milan. Here are my top five picks from LFW.

Sarah-Jane Clarke and  Heidi Middleton, the duo behind Sass & Bide described their Fall collection as "an elegant and ladylike urban warrior". The inspiration was apparent, with their use of tribal prints from all around the globe, mixed with their rich colours of pinks and corals. There were pieces of cloth draped and folded every which way over pants, versatile enough to be paired with another garment for a completely different look. For a fall collection there weren't many outerwear looks amongst the silk and baby doll dresses. You sorta go on this journey somewhere else while viewing the collection, forgetting that it's for fall. What do you expect from two Aussies?

Matthew Williamson's collection for Fall was a bitt different from his usual bohemian aesthetic. Instead he melted it into a tougher and a more artsy look. That geometric printed parka with the black leather sleeves that opened the show and those buckled wooden platform shoes so far from what we usually see from him. The skintight leather biker pants, roomy cut trousers and that shift dress with the beaded collar was a delightful surprise from his usual flowing silks. My favorite look on a stern looking Theres, the most perfect orange trousers and grey biker jacket with the fur scarf. Showing the Spring trend of coloured pants moving forward into Fall. It was the definition of an effortless cool girl. It was the first time in 14 years the designer didn't use a stylist for his show and maybe that made a difference in how wearable the collection was.

Craig Lawrence amazes me with his innovation with knitwear. But this season he just seduced my heart with his dark rich navy, purple, of course black and the weaving of synthetic fibers with jersey and velvet. Built to perfectly fit  each models silhouette. That turtleneck navy dress with the overlay of weaving would make my heart burst into confetti if Angie(Jolie) wore it to a premiere. The way the clothes looked as if they were turned inside out to show that rough texture was refreshing. It was definitely a collection inspired by the night with a goth edge, but it will take a confident girl to wear these pieces and not allow them to take over.

Seems like Amanda Wakeley's collection for fall was sophisticated with slim silhouettes and accented with glitter and fur, perfect for any posh Londoner. A collection mainly done in black and camel, the clothes didn't disappoint. Those lavish furs that accompanied cinched waist sweater dresses. Her dresses were impeccable, that gorgeous shoulder cut out black dress with the gold hardware as cuffs, perfection. Lets not even discuss that cream shift with its glittered hem and well executed shoulders. I would have liked to have seen a variety in shoes, but all the gorgeous fur distracted me so its ok.

Henry Holland's personal style I admire for its youthful approach and is always very evident in his collection for House of Holland. No surprise it was in full swing this season with a mix of an older feel fit for your grand. The little nighties peeking out from under dresses and patent leather embellished trenches meshed them both well. Taken apart the nighties could have worked alone and the same goes for the dresses that were drastically shorter to show them off. His tweeds were done in eye catching colours, cut into little biker jackets and shorts and even a sweet sexy little onesie suit with black detailed flaps. The fun prints of eyes on housecoats and nylons weren't done to play bingo in. That orange sweater with gold pearls was my favorite and what the whole collection was about. I might be a bit biased with that look because I'm obsessed with gold pearls at the moment. The afghan print that was done to make scarves and sweaters in bright colours also made its way on a party dress encrusted with jewels. He didn't forget about his thorough direction with his slogan tees and sweaters, never forgetting what sells. We all want a piece of HOH.-your Dealer
