Iconic Trash: Naomi Campbell.

This fashion season marks 25 years in the business for Naomi. With dance appearances at FNO in NY and private shows and parties in London. The supermodel who at 15 was discovered at Covent Garden in London has made a name for herself and a widespread reputation just as well. She was part of the Top 6 in the 90's and the only one still doing what she did in 1993 today in 2010. As much as many would have liked to see her disappear with Cindy and Linda, she didn't she stuck around still strutting her stuff on runways and mesmerizing cameras, along the way developing a philanthropic reputation as well. Say what you will about the statuesque beauty, but she knows what shes doing from day one to have stuck around this long. Viva La Naomi.- your Dealer

London Fashion Week recap.

So New York and London down and seems like we're seeing trends of a seventies revival, tons of jumpsuits, wide legged trousers and big bouncy hair. Here were my standouts.
Sass and Bide was pirate chic to the fullest with lots of prints, color, textures and armored belts. The high  ruffled collars on practically every model added an almost aristocratic feel. There were bondage tops, gold lame draped pants, great folded ankle boots and cut out jumpsuits.A collection worn by an girl with an edge.
Sienna and Savannah Miller showed their collection Twenty8Tweleve of fifties inspired effortlessness, a girl who knows what her style is.Hints of lace and that dark blue denim used for high wasted relaxed shorts and shirts. The striped dresses were perfect for a vacation with a hint of tribalism with the wooden bracelets.Favorite look was the shearling vest with the boyfriend shorts and bow flats. The girls were styled very similar to hmm I don't know Sienna?

Unique by Karen Bonser is sold at TopShop and was the first high street brand to show at London Fashion Week. Who last season sent out models with deer antlers and wolf heads as headpieces, this season it was a psychedelic seventies revival. With homage to Jerry Hall, with the hair and make up right out of a Helmut Newton photo. Adored the plexiglass platforms and the fringe hobo bags, the bathing suits were sexy and I don't think you would actually get into the water with them on they were kind of more than just a bathing suit, with capes and sequins and ruffles. There were modern twists on bell bottoms and tie dye. This collection is for that Unique girl that likes dancing to Donna Summer.

House of Holland was a collection of seventies inspiration designed by an eighties baby.It was fun, colorful and young. But not as young as his previous collections, which is good Henry is growing up and  his following is growing with him just ask his 100,00 Twitter followers. There were pom pom earrings and printed canvas bags to match the leaf printed dresses.Along with metallic printed stars on canvas bags as well to go with the seventies muted denim colored jumpers and high waisted wide legged jeans. The cut out jumpers paired with the undone knit cardigans in matching colors and the pleated mini foil skirts in the colors. The bags and the muted denim has my name all over it.

John Rocha whose aesthetic is always so art inspired with a twist. The tweed suits with the unfinished edges in unexpected lengths, one in a hot pant and one in an ankle length skirt. The dresses with the organza detail, and the ones exaggerated on the bias, one of my favorite looks was the sleeveless black cardigan over the sheer silk dress. For a collection of mainly all black it made my heart smile, who am I kidding I love black. It was just well tailored, brave clothing.

Julien Mcdonald the designer who moonlights as a Britain's Next Top Model judge showed his girls with bouncy hair and minimal makeup. It was a softer collection for him opposed to his usual sexed up party girl. utility jackets with gold hardware and straps over sheer negligees and baby doll dresses. Pleated ruffled swimsuits, cut out dresses and silk blouses paired with shorts a bit demure for Julien. It was so good to see he had more than exquisite dresses to give as he showed lovely functional sporty clothes.

Antonio Berardi known for his polished voluptuous tailoring, opted for some looser looks and the looser they got the better they were. Like the frosted silver jackets over flowing blush colored chiffon, my favorite look was at the end in the muted pink story the army green modern trench over the sheer silk blouse with the matching trousers. The cut out LBD with the orange shoes and the mix match orange and red looks were great. Crisp polished white suits and the the white dress with the origami panels at the hemline allowed me to embrace white. A perfectly styled show with the messy buns and gaudy gold earrings, the perfect Berardi girl.

Matthew Williamson delivered a feminine, fun collection of fabulous travel clothes. The leopard print weave strapless bustier dress with matching jacket, long high waisted and wide legged trousers. The elegant collarless jacket falling away from strong shoulders and his version of a maxi dress with the twisted features. With Sienna Miller and Olivia Palermo in the front row they'll be fighting over the sequined mini dress with that beautiful snakeskin finish. he created an urban streetwise collection with that Williamson girlish trademark.

The Queen of punk is creating clothes for the joy of it instead of just for a cause. Because the cause was still there, even in the front row ladies couldn't see past the sparkly cigarette pants, silk jersey wrap tops, tweed suits with a relax tailoring with luxurious fabrics and those oxford shoes.

Christopher Kane showed an array of highlighter colors. With his laser cut skirts paired with argyle tops, he redid typical boxy tweed suits in acid organza and lace. Also incorporating tattoo prints into dresses and knits some done with neon piping.Editors will be tripping each other to shoot those vibrant suits.

Roksanda Ilincic presented a breezy collection with flow and volume that every now and then would  be cinched at the waist with a bright  colored ribbon. There were bubblegum pink caftans, light elegant  separates, wide leg relaxed trousers and sheer organza tees, all topped off with silk head wraps. There were still form fitting cocktail dresses Ilinoic is known for, but she definitely embraced more relaxed silhouettes.

Giles Deacon showed a sexy yet quirky collection, polka dot kitten heels, plunging form fitting eyeball dress. silk chiffon slip dresses with pom pom headpieces and corseted prom dresses with printed elasticated bandages bordering feminine and fun. with knitwear printed with pac man and eye graphics. The cartoon graphics paired with the likes of Veruschka on the runway. He made a point letting us know fashion is still fun.

Christopher Bailey keeps reinventing the trench for Burberry . The classic look went into biker girl chic with quilted shoulders. The cropped silver leather versions had skinny biker pants to match. There were shiny versions, ones that were distressed and gold spiky, ones oh my.perfect to throw over those silk dresses-your Dealer.
