Milan Fashion Week recap.

New York and London stirred up some 70's revival. What did Milan have in store for us? Take a gander.

Dan and Dean first look for Dsquared, BAM a crystal encrusted sweater and hot pant suit. Those two aren't too shy to vamp it up for the runway, instead found a balance this season with preppy schoolboy and a touch of sex appeal. The flat oxfords that we saw on previous runways this season were a big surprise for the duo compared to their spiral cord heels last season. But went perfectly well with the pantsuits, plaid bermudas and boxy khakis. Adored the oversize glasses and straw hats boosting the boyish vibe. The evening looks were white waistcoats worn with black satin shorts and a backless minidress, tuxedo shirt dresses. My favorite look the boyfriend shorts with the cardigan and poplin shirt perfectly styled with the mens wristwatch over the cardigan sleeve, has a date for me to wear it, tweaked with a pair of black ankle booties of course.

Peter Dundas stuck to the 70's trend at Emilio Pucci, with sea blues and spiced up browns. The first couple of looks, the dresses were a spoofed up version of traditional Greek shirts with blue designs on ruffled and flouncy white cotton, washed to have a worn in effect. The skin hugging jersey T-shirt gowns in those known Pucci prints tie dyed to give them a sun faded look. Alongside lace embroidered looks with tiny mirrors and pom poms. The schoolboy blazers and low slung flares, and perfectly tailored boot cut satin finish trousers mixed up with leathers and aged python kept the collection young and elegant.

Raf Simons collection for Jil Sander anyone could quickly say paid homage to other designers in the past   such as Isaac Mizrahi with his opening looks of major skirts and minor T-shirt tops. The take over of flowers and strips brightened up my eyes and the playful crayon colours were exquisitely done. The kelly green safari jacket with canary yellow palazzo pants and pink shirt is a shopping outfit already stamped in my planner. The models looked like they carried plastic shopping bags, but chic shopping bags that every young girl would want to carry, along with that green folded clutch for night time escapades.I would love to see those full flowing balloon skirts trotting down a sidewalk in a mile full of colour just like this collection.

Oh Miuccia Prada what you do to me, the colours, the stripes, the accessories, the hospital scrubs inspired dresses and coats with the striped sambreros . With a splash of  Josephine Baker with the hair and the banana and monkey prints, who doesn't love a smiling monkey? The ruffle hemmed dress striped in orange and pink paired with the coloured fur stole, all the coloured fur stoles and that royal blue doctors bag, epic, died. It all just made the glamour pop with rawness. I'm getting ready to practice safe bold colour.

Fracesco Scognamiglio took inspiration from his fall 2008 show with the pearl studded rubber dresses and the gold swan fetish mask from Spring 2010.The updated print of purple leopard print on floor length silk shirt dresses and micro mini dresses in metallic lace. If you're like me and like making a statement just to run and pick up the new V mag the blouses with gigantic ruffles circling the throat down the torso is for you.His expertly tailored suits and LBDs with heart cut outs and gold buttons.Closing the show with a black and blush gazar ball gown, a replica of one he made for Gaga completely earning him some celebrity street cred.

Raquel Zimmermann opens the Gucci show by Frida Giannini in an orange blazer, violet tube top, green pants and gold python belt, her hair slicked back and red glossy lips let us know glamour was alive at Gucci. Giannini pushed the envelope on provocation and colour. A navel grazing turquoise and jade jumpsuit or the brown silk one, Jerry Hall circa Studio 54 much? The safari jackets in soft suede, fitted linen riding jacket with heavy embroidery studded around the armholes, the T-shirt cover up in open work crochet. Leathers were laced and dotted with gold hardware or fringed and leather harem pants with spiky sandals that showed off a red manicure to match the models lips. Jumpsuits in silk jersey with gold accents and jewel tones. The get your socialite one night stand on tribal inspired dresses is nothing too demure for the Gucci girl. Plenty of options for the spring 70's revival trend. -your Dealer
