Louis Vuitton 2011 Fall ad campaign.
After seeing the shows earlier this year for the fall 2011 season, Louis Vuitton was one of my favorites. Marc Jacobs out did himself not only with the exceptional clothes but also the set up of the runway with elevators and the presence of many of his supermodel friends walking the runway. We all can't forget the fabulous Kate Moss ending the show in lingere and a sculpted coat smoking a cigarette. So I was so interested to see what the campaign would feature. To my surprise no supermodels were selected. Instead the Steven Meisel shot campaign features Zuzanna Bijoch, Gertrud Hegelund, Daphne Groeneveld, Sun Fei Fei, Anais Pouliot and Nyasha Matonhodze, all under the age of 21. The campaign is graced with these fresh modern faces. Sticking to the show's theme of call girl and the clothes' vibe of cab drivers the shots or just that. The girls are photographed staring bravely into Meisel's lens clutching gorgeous bags, in furs and cab driver hats while holding the most pampered/expensive looking doggies ever. But what everyone is talking about seems to be the age of the models and the status of their careers. They're all relatively just starting out making a name for themselves. The youngest Nyasha Matonhodze, 16 (in red) has been getting tons of press not only for her age but her professional work ethic and the prediction of how far her career will go. She's also the brand's new spokesmodel. I'm very happy to see a variety of faces in a huge luxury brand campaign.-your Dealer.
