Current Music obsession: Selah Sue.
So the other day my best friend (who's now living in England) and I got together for our usual Skype session. Her hello was "So I peed on someone today, how was your day? I have an artist you're gonna fall in love with." And boy did I, after listening to Selah Sue's Raggamuffin I wanted to know more. What she looked liked, where she's from, and every other song she has ever done I wanted in my iTunes library. Her distressed cotton candy-esque hair, thin frame and doll like features surprised me. I didn't expect that voice to come out of someone that looks like that. But the 21 year old Belgian singer already had me hooked with her emotional lyrics and voice. She has performed with Cee-Loo and was the supporting act for Prince's tour. Hit producers from LA made her some offers. But the highly independent artist that she is decided it wasn't her thing. She ended up choosing a small french record company to record her debut album, Selah Sue. Check out two of her songs below.-your Dealer.

Oh CHANEL, be still my heart.
The Tale of a Fairy is a short film written and directed by Karl Lagerfeld for the 2011/12 Chanel Cruise collection. It stars Anna Mouglalis, Chanel ambassadress, Amanda Harlech, Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha, Bianca Balti, Baptiste Giabiconi, Brad Koening, Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo, Oriol Elcacho, Sébastien Jondeau, Seth Kuhlmann and other friends of Karl and the Chanel house. “It is a movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling,” Karl said about the film. The acting isn't that great but the presence of 90's supermodels Mark and Kristen and top model Freja makes up for it. The clothes are exquisite, they're regal and eloquent. The styling is just very well done. After watching it I died, came back alive, died again, came back alive watched it a second time then died all over again.-your Dealer.

MetGala 2011.
The MetGala was last night. Honoring the "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" exhibit at the Met opening this Wednesday. So it was no surprise that the almost everyone graced the red stairs in McQueen. To my surprise the models out did the celebs. Hollywood stylists apparently need to step their game up. I had a hard time choosing a top 5 best dressed so I did a top 10 and wouldn't even bore you with the worst dressed. So if tacky-bad style is your love, visit another blog. These 10 looked elegant while making a statement.
Naomi in custom made McQueen of course. This dress is impeccable on her skin and the detail work is perfection.Brooklyn Decker took a risk in hot pink and it paid off. The model stood out in a head to toe Michael Kors.
Eva Mendes in Stella McCartney stuck to the season pleated trend in this royal blue frock. And just the right touch with a gold mirrored belt.
Christina Ricci with Zac Posen in Zac posen was glorious in this spider web gown that showed off her tiny waist. It was said that the gown was so large she needed help getting out of her ride. Now thats my kind of gown.
Andre Leon Talley inspires me always in what he styles on others. But it's his signature gigantic caftans that steal my heart. I want a cheetah print one. Thnx.
Diane Kruger in Jason Wu with the designer was the look of perfect sex appeal with that high slit.
Editor-At-Large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan in McQueen with and egg on her head.Dead. So good the jacket was my favorite look from the collection with its slit shoulders.
Raquel Zimmerman looking stunning in McQueen.
Dotzen Kross went simple on the hair and makeup to compliment her Giambattista Valli gown. She looks stunning.
Florence and the machine in straight from the runway YSL. She looks like an angel.
Now for the honorable mentions. There was just way too many good looks not to post em.
Madonna in Stella McCartney dress, which was appliqued with gold sequins stars from her hips all the way down to the end of the train. She was one of the last to arrive of course.Sadly without Lourdes, maybe next year.
Head Bitch in charge, Anna Wintour in custom made CHANEL.
Karen Elson in McQueen, she wore this dress on the runway of his 05 show. And looks just as exceptional.
Joan Smalls in Tom Ford was also the designers date along with Carolyn Murphy.
Liv Tyler looked stunning in yellow and white Givenchy Couture with Givenchy's hot designer Riccardo Tisci as her date.
Crystal Renn looking svelte in Zac Posen.
Natalia Vodinova in Valentino with designer himself. Love the pleating and bubble detailing on the thighs.
Rihanna in a sexy number (of course) by Stella McCartney. At first glance I thought it was a bit too slutty, but what the difference a long side braid could make.
And sounding it off is Daphne Guinness heir to the Guiness empire, long time friend of McQueen and owner of her friend Isabella Blow's extensive and lovely wardrobe. Wearing the finale feathered dress from Sarah Burton's '11 collection for McQueen. she also got ready in the Barney's window for this event.
Well thats everything I adored from this year's MetGala and hopefully next year my invite won't be lost in the post.-your Dealer.
